i ve tried about every free service I can- and all of them have crappy ftp servers and lousy or no cgi support. does anyone know of a webhost i can try? im trying to make a proxy for just myself- so it won t take too much bandwidth. this for bypassing school filters. here s the ones i ve tried so far:

maybe i didn t explain my idea well - all i want is to read name of another file from user if the first file that the user typed doesn t exit thats all--

for example - if the user typed "file.txt" and this file doesn t exit it ask him to enter another name- if after that he entered "fffffff.txt" and that doesn t exit too - it asks him again to enter a third name -- and so on- until he types a file that exit---
